Slovakia has confirmed on Thursday its first swine flu case. A 37 year-old man recently returned from the United States was diagnosed with the H1N1 virus, the Slovak minister of Health informs, quoted by AFP. In Romania, a woman, also recently returned from the US, was diagnosed with swine flu.

The latest World Health Organisation statistics count 13.398 swine flu cases and 95 deceased in 48 countries. The figures were released on Wednesday. Romania and Slovakia are not featured in the report.

The countries with the largest number of swine flu cases are the USA, Mexico, Canada, Japan, Spain and Great Britain.
