Romania's Health Ministry announced a new case of AH1N1 flu virus infection in the country on Thursday. The case was confirmed by specialists at the Cantacuzino Institute in Bucharest and lifts the number of confirmed cases in Romania to 11.

The ministry says the infected person was a man aged 48 who arrived in Romania from Canada on June 8, by another flight than that of the AH1N1 patient who was announced on Wednesday.

The man is currently hospitalized at the Matei Bals Institute and his condition is good. Authorities have started an investigation to identify the people he had come in contact with.

Regarding the case confirmed on Wednesday, the Health Ministry said it identified nine people who had come in contact with the patient and who would be monitored on a daily basis.
