A Boeing 734 aircraft, belonging to Russian Kazan Airlines, was forced to leave its initial route, Kazan (Tatarstan, Russia) - Antalya (Turkey) and land in Volgograd (South Russia), according to RIA Novosti, quoting a source from Minister of Emergency Situations. There were 158 persons on board of the plane.

"The aircraft was forced into an emergency landing around 13:01 (Moscow time; 09:01 GMT) because the smoke detection system set off in the pilots' cabin", the source said.

The plane has 158 passengers on board plus 8 crew members. It landed without any incidents. Upon inspection, there was no smoke detected in the aircraft, the source said.
