Romania's Presidential elections will be held on November 22, 2009, when citizens will be called to cast their first vote. The second ballot will be organized on December 6,2009, a government's decision reads, announced by vice PM Dan Nica.

Nica added that these elections will be organized just like the previous ones, in 2004. He explained that there will be some technical modifications, but nothing that can affect the fundamental right of each candidate.

Social Democrats and Democrat Liberals already settled on a set of measures to prevent electoral frauds. To avoid high spending, constituencies will be monitored through webcams, Nica said, quoted by Romanian news agency Mediafax.
