Michael Jackson was buried in the Forest Lawn cemetery in Glendale, in the outskirts of LA after two months since his death. According to police sources, some 150 to 200 people were invited to the ceremony due to start at local hour 7pm and will last 2 hours.

Television channels showed images with some of the guests, sitting on white chairs, waiting for the ceremony to start. Among those present is also Elizabeth Taylor. According to France Presse, other stars like Aretha Franklin, Diana Ross or Brooke Shields are present.

Small groups of fans and over 400 journalists lined up behind the security lines. Michael fans were asked to stay away from the ceremony and not to disturb it. The family arrived at the cemetery one hour late.

Jackson's children, Prince Michael, aged 12, Paris aged 11 and Prince Michael II aged 7 added farewell notes in the coffin. According to CNN, an old friend of Michael performed at his tumb, Gladys Knight.
