The vaccination campaign against A/H1N1 virus is due to start in Romania in December and will target, first of all, all vital sectors, Health ministry spokesperson Mihai Ursa declared for AFP. Vaccines will be ready by the end of November and we will start vaccinating in the health sector and employees working in public cleaning, Ursa said.

By December in Romania there will be some 5 million vaccines available, produced by the National Cantacuzino Institute. In the next stage, children will have priority in vaccination most probably in January, according to a ministry plan.

The latest swine flu toll in Romania, published on Monday reveals some 326 confirmed cases.
