Judges from the High Justice Court (ICCJ) decided to continue their protests. The decision was taken during the General Assembly called on Monday, Romanian press agency Mediafax informs. The Magistrates of the Supreme Court will announce the form their protests will take. Starting Monday, the Justice in Romania will enter its fourth week of protests.

The opinions regarding the continuation of protests varied on Monday, while lawyers, councillors and Justice staff were waiting for a decision regarding the stage of the trials. Eventually, ICCJ judges ruled, with a majority of votes, that the protests would resume.

The Romanian National Network of Judges' General Assemblies (RNAG) decided to continue the protests under different forms, after centralising the results from 14 appeal courts that held their general assembly. On the other hand, the Military Court of Appeal, the Court of Appeal in Craiova (South) and the Tribunal in Constanta (South-East) decided to suspend protests.

As for the judges, RNAG ruled that all 97 courts decided to continue blocking their activity.
