Doctors confirmed the first swine flu case in a school in Bucharest, namely school number 146 in Panduri, Romanian news agency Mediafax informs. Authorities took immediate actions to close the classroom.

A month ago two pupils in Slobozia were diagnosed with swine flu and their classrooms were suspended for one week. On September 10, the Health ministry decided that the Public Health Departments should suspend school activity in those institutions with three confirmed swine flu cases.

In September, Health minister Ion Bazac announced that three million kindergarden children, pupils and students will be vaccinated for free against the swine flu starting December 1.
