Record: a woman was trying to smuggle 590,000 dollars and 121,000 euro

Romanian International Henri Coanda airport customs officers discovered a woman who was trying to smuggle 590,000 dollars and 121,000 euro. The money were transported by a woman with double citizenship, Turkish and Romanian, a press release of the institution reads.

Marinela M told customs officers that she has nothing to declare but, after control, they discovered big amounts of money. Considering the situation, the officers confiscated the money. According to EU regulations, it is mandatory to declare sums exceeding 10,000 euro.
