Adrian Streinu Cercel quit as state secretary after a Presidential counselor accused him of inducing panic

Adrian Streinu Cercel resigned as state secretary just one month after he was appointed, in the Health ministry, lead by Adriean Videanu as interim minister. Streinu Cercel's resignation comes after Virgil Paunescu, Health counselor to the Presidency accused him of inducing panic among the population.

At the moment Streinu Cercel is attending a hearing at the Chamber of Deputies Health Committee. Until now, there are 581 swine flu confirmed cases of which 24 were confirmed in the last 24 hours.
