Interim Transports minister Radu Berceanu declared on Tuesday in a press conference that union leaders of the national railway company (CFR) are trying to pull a similar strike like their colleagues in the subway system, Romanian news agency NewsIn informs. Berceanu added that there is no need to have chaos on the railways on the thought that this will influence elections.

Berceanu declared that the Social Democratic Party has a way of using unions during elections to endorse their interests, referring to the railway employees who are trying to pull a similar strike.

He mentioned that until PSD was dismissed from the government, the railway company was lead by Social Democratic leaders. He underlined that if there are any problems, these should be resolved within the party.
