In most regions across the country heavy snow started falling and starting 12 PM, the yellow code warning for heavy snow is enforced. Traffic is jammed and conditions are wary. Police officers warn that drivers should adapt their speed to traffic conditions and equip their cars appropriately.

Moreover, traffic on the A1 highway linking Bucharest to Pitesti was stopped for several minutes due to an accident caused by the heavy snow on the road. Authorities declared that they are ready to tackle the winter conditions.
