Snowfalls and strong winds have caused long delays in train journeys. Plus, A2 motorway is closed and several national roads are blocked. Passengers and drivers are required to check before they travel.

Trains that come and go on Friday morning from Bucharest North, Bucharest Basarab, Bucharest Grivita and Chitila station face up to 80 minutes delays on laving and arriving due to snowstorms, the National Railway Company CFR SA announced, quoted by Romanian news agency NewsIn. The blown snow makes it difficult for the staff to clean switches, which are covered with a thick layer of snow and ice.

According to Infotrafic, the motorway was closed at 7:30 am, namely the Bucharest - Drajna section because it is snowing and the wind blows by over 50 km/h. Drivers that had to use the A2 are advised to take a different route: DN3 Bucharest - Lehliu -Station, DN3A Lehliu-Station - Drajna.
