The National Meteorology Administration issued code yellow warnings for rain and snow falls for the counties in West Romania. The warning's time span starts on Tuesday 10 pm and is valid all through January 6. The counties to be affected are Satu Mare, Maramures, Bistrita Nasaud, Salaj, Bihor, Cluj, Arad, Alba, Timis, Hunedoara, Caras Severin, Gorj, Valcea and Mehedinti.

During the announced time span, the weathercast indicates mixed precipitation - mainly snow falls tonight and rain tomorrow. "Locally 20...25 mm will accumulate and even 35...40 mm, sparsely in southern Banat, western and northern Oltenia, the Western Carpathians, the west of the Southern Carpathians and the north of the Eastern Carpathians". glazed frost is also expected to occur locally. In Banat, the wind will intensify, becoming stronger in the mountains and will drift the snow.

In Southern Banat and South-West Oltenia the snow fall will start this afternoon.
