Bucharest Military Court decided on Tuesday that Mihai Chitac, condemned at 15 years of prison for his acts in the 1989 Revolution, should be released from prison for two months starting February 15, when he is scheduled for surgery, Romanian news agency Mediafax informs.
The military court admitted Chitac's request. The decision is not final and can be contested in the Military Appelate court. On December 18 Chitac entered the prison. He was released on September 18, 2009 for a three months period, for surgery as well.
