Romania's Finance minister, Sebastian Vladescu declared on Tuesday that Romania is planning to issue euro bonds worth 1 billion euro and the deadline is the first quarter, Romanian news agency Mediafax informs.

The operation will probably be a success as the state cannot rely solely on the internal resources to finance the budgetary deficit, Chief Economist at the Central Bank, Lucian Anghel declared.

In September 2009, the Finance ministry estimated that it will issue euro bonds worth 500 million euro to 1.5 billion euro in October 1 to 15. However, the fall of the government at the time obliged the central bank to postpone its intentions.
