PM Emil Boc declared that Romania needs an international audit to select investment projects for infrastructure which will conclude which works need to be continued, or abandoned. In Romania, there are 40 billion euro for investments available for infrastructure, Boc said.

His declaration follows the debate in the Parliament of an amendment which proposes that budgetary resource allocation should be made based on an establish order, for example whether companies paid their bills on time.

Boc said that he cannot accept such an agreement until an audit will establish which works are worth to be continued. He said that several criteria need to be accounted for: importance for the community, level of achievement. He underlined that the government needs to avoid wasting the money.
