The European Union needs to take a clear stand in the Transnistrian conflict, Romanian President Traian Basescu declared on Wednesday, at the annual meeting with all accredited diplomatic corps in Bucharest. He added that Romanian will actively manifest within the EU to include Moldova where it belongs.

In terms of foreign policy, the key words of the Romanian policies will be: dynamic, continuity, taking opportunities as they arise, predictability, respecting engagements, efficient multilateral relations and solidarity.
