Sources within the Democrat Liberals declared for HotNews.ro that if the party will not organize internal elections this spring, PM Emil Boc will lose his position as President of the party. Quoted sources declared that the National Convention will be organized by June as internal rules require.
Democrat Liberals are compelled to organize elections every four years. The last convention was organized on June 25, 2005. According to sources, Democrat Liberals are obliged to propose a motion in April. If not, Boc's mandate will expire and the prerogatives will be taken over by three members of the permanent office.
