Transnistria is ready to host a Russian Iskander missile system if Moscow will demand it, leader of the separatist region, Igov Smirnov declared quoted by Reuters.

Russian newspaper Nezavisimaia Gazeta reads on Monday that the political organization Ravnopravie, representing the rights of the Russian community in Moldova plans to urge Russian President to set up a defense system in Transnistria as an answer to Romania's decision to host the Amercian anti missile shield.

On the other hand, NG found out that Igor Smirnov talked last week about the situation in Romania with Russian Foreign Affairs minister, Serghey Lavrov. Experts quoted by the newspaper declared that a new glacier time is setting in between Chisinau and Tiraspol especially that Moldovan officials avoided to comment on Romania's decision.
