Orange Romania revenues exceeded 1.05 billion euro last year, registering a 19.5% drop compared to 2008, a result given mostly by the general unstable economic environment, the telecom operator announced. On the other hand, Orange reached 10,9 million active clients, a 6.2% increase compared to 2008.
The performance of the company is in accordance with our plans which reflected the crisis. After two quarters, Orange was leader in terms of clients attracted in the network and the third quarter registers growth as well, Orange Romania CEO Thierry Millet declared.
In the last quarter of 2009, Orange attracted 300,000 new clients. The average annual revenue made for each client was 92 euro.
