Romania's Chamber of Deputies approved on Wednesday, with 256 votes for, none against and three abstains the draft law ruling that Ford will receive state guarantees, Agerpres informs. President Traian Basescu urged the Parliament to approve the draft law or otherwise Ford risks to postpone its production of the new model at Craiova, South Romania. Ford started its production at Craiova in September 2009 but it only produced less than 400 cars since.

Liberal deputies leader Eugen Nicolaescu declared that Liberals will vote for the project, as they are convinced that this is one of the best projects in the area. Social Democrat Valeriu Zgonea said that the Social Democrats will also vote for the project.
