Senator Catalin Voicu, arrested for corruption deeds, was brought on Tuesday at the Bucharest Higher Court of Justice where he contested a decision of anti graft prosecutors, those who launched the investigation against him, Romanian news agency Mediafax informs.

The complaint against anti graft prosecutors will be discussed on May 4. On December 11, 2009, anti graft prosecutors established that, last year Voicu received and asked for large amounts of money, to favorably solve some court cases.

Anti graft prosecutors requested the approval of the Senate to arrest Senator Voicu and on March 23, the Higher Court of Justice emitted a temporary arrest order on Voicu's name.
