Romanian authorities declared Sunday, April 18 a national mourning day - the day when the victims of the airplane crash will be buried including Poland President Lech Kaczynski, Romanian news agency Agerpres reads, quoting governmental sources.

Official sources declared for Mediafax that the decision was taken by the government. The last time Romania declared a mourning day was on August 3, 2007 when the Patriarch was buried.

Several civic organization appealed President Basescu and PM Boc to declare national mourning day.
