Romanian airspace might be opened on Monday morning, at 6 AM, despite the government's decision to close the airspace until Monday at 12 PM. Romania's Environment Ministry announced, on Sunday morning, that the volcanic ash cloud diminished considerably.

Transports Ministry State Secretary Marin Anton declared that the airspace in Romania might be open starting Monday, 6AM and an official announcement will be made tonight, at 9 PM, according to Romanian news channel Antena 3.

The Romanian airspace is currently open just for check ups, at above 8000 meters. The air space was partially closed on Friday to Saturday night and authorities decided to closed it completely starting Saturday 6PM.
