IMF representatives consider the VAT increase the best way to increase budgetary revenues

Leader of the Alfa Cartel union, Bogdan Hossu declared for HotNews.ro that IMF representatives said during talks on Tuesday, May 4, that the VAT increase is the safest way to increase state budget revenues. On the other side, union members said that that VAT differentiation will be a better idea.

Contacted by HotNews.ro, IMF representatives declared that they do not wish to comment as they are discussing several options. Hossu said that union members argued that budgetary lay offs are not a solution.
