Reputed coaches Octavian Bellu and Mariana Bitang, who found fame for training the Romanian female gymnastics team to international success, have returned to the team in preparation for the London Olympics in 2012, according to Romanian news agency Mediafax. The two would be assisted by technical director Anca Grigoras.

Mediafax quoted Adrian Stoica, head of the Romanian Gymnastics Federation, according to whom the federation aimed at correcting things that were not working with the team for the past three major gymnastics competitions. He said that both Bellu and Bitang were agreed to help the team and that nobody wanted to push coach Nicolae Forminte away.

Bellu and Bitang announced their withdrawal five years ago.
