Romania's Finance minister Sebastian Vladescu has decided to cut the number of ministry aides by half, removing the seat currently held by Dan Bittman, a music star employed as an aide for ministry image issues earlier this year.

The decision is applied starting Tuesday, June 1.

Four of the eight seats of personal aides for the minister are restructured as part of austerity measures announced by the government, a minister's order shows, as quoted by Romanian news agency Mediafax.
