Employees in the ministries forming the Romanian government may no longer receive stimuli for their work, Regional Development and Tourism minister Elena Udrea said on Wednesday. She said, however, that a decision on how to remove such stimuli was yet to be made.

Udrea said that a governmental decision might be needed for the stimuli - bonuses aimed at compensating those who hold similar positions as others but who work harder - to be eliminated.

Currently, some employees in Romanian ministries receive a series of stimuli which lead to major differences in the incomes of employees who hold similar positions.
