Romanian PM Emil Boc said on Friday, as quoted by Mediafax news agency, that he urged both the Finance minister and the chief of the National Fiscal Administration to counter fiscal evasion and improve EU fund management as he would watch them each month to make sure that they were taking the necessary measures. Should they fail to show results, they will be laid off, PM Boc said.

PM Emil Boc commented the declarations of the National Fiscal Administration chief Sorin Blejnar regarding corruption in the system. Blejnar declared on Wednesday that many employees would be laid off for accepting bribes.
