IMF representatives urged the government to make sure that the pensions law will be adopted by the Parliament by September 15, but the executive insisted that the deadline be extended until September 30 because Parliamentarians are on leave until September, Romanian news agency Mediafax informs, quoting official sources.

The draft law on pensions was approved by the government at the beginning of the year, adopted in the Senate after several months and is on the agenda of the Chamber of Deputies. IMF representatives met with PM Boc on Tuesday.
