The repatriation of the gypsies can be a solution for the time being but the problem is not resolved, Chamber of Deputies Speaker Roberta Anastase declared in an interview for RFI Romania. The reaction follows France's first flight repatriating 79 gypsies who accepted to come home for a sum of money.

The way France saw fit to resolve the problem, is not correct and this was also the opinion of the European Commission. Anastase declared that the problem with the gypsies is neither Romania, nor French but it is European.

Anastase said that national countries have a big responsibility to integrate gypsies in the society. Progress was made but it is not enough, she declared.
