Romanian Rroma Civic Alliance launched on Monday a protest against the summit on immigration organized in Paris on September 6. According to a press release, quoted by the Romanian news agency Agerpres, it regards an international protest organized in the same time, on September 6, 2010 at 11:30AM. The protest is initiated and sustained by the Romanian Rroma Civic Alliance and by Rroma leaders from most counties across Romania. This summit is targeted against the Rroma everywhere and we protest against the policy started by the French government, the press release reads.
The civic alliance recommends the population to boycott French made products, as a sign of protest to remind French leaders that fundamental rights are not negotiable. French Immigration minister, Eric Besson announced the organization of a summit on the right of asylum and the fight against illegal immigration on September 6.
