Currently, in Romania, there are 20 confirmed cases of West Nile infections, Romania's Health ministry data reveals. The ministry declared that there were no deaths registered and those infected are in a good condition.

There were 15 confirmed cass last week and the total number of cases increased to 20. The last five cases were confirmed across country: 1 in Calarasi county, 1 in Ialomita, 1 in Iasi and in Bucharest, 2 cases.

In Europe, there were several registered cases of West Nile infection in Greece - 173 cases and 15 deaths, in Russia 356 cases and 6 deaths, Hungary 3 cases, Netherlands 2 cases, Italy 1 case, Portugal 1 case.
