The heirs of the Ceausescu family, the Communist dictators, sued Theatre Odeon from Bucharest for playing the show called "Ceausescu's last hours" on December 10 and 11 2009, a press release of the theatre informs. The first trial is scheduled for September 9.

The play was set up by the International Institute for Political Crime and had the premier at the Odeon Theatre in Bucharest. The play, a German and Swiss co-production, with Romanian actors interpreted the events that lead to the trial of the Ceausescu's and their execution.

The theatre was also played abroad and registered plenty of success. The lawyer of Valentin Ceausescu, the heir of the Ceausescus declared that the heirs want to deter any mockery associated with the name of Ceausescu.
