The play was set up by the International Institute for Political Crime and had the premier at the Odeon Theatre in Bucharest. The play, a German and Swiss co-production, with Romanian actors interpreted the events that lead to the trial of the Ceausescu's and their execution.
The theatre was also played abroad and registered plenty of success. The lawyer of Valentin Ceausescu, the heir of the Ceausescus declared that the heirs want to deter any mockery associated with the name of Ceausescu.
