Foreign Affairs minister is about to send journalist and writer Ioan T. Morar to Marseille as general consul at the Romanian Consulate. In February 2007, Morar published an article in a local daily newspaper criticizing the nomination of journalist Gabriel Stanescu as consul for cultural problems at Marseille.
Morar told HotNews.ro that he was proposed for that position because of his literary work, his activity a a journalist and for his right wing ideas he shares with the government. In an interview, Ioan T Morar justifies his nomination.
He declared that he does not plan to get rich or save money, but that he wants to accept the offer because it is an honour for him. He added that he is a ring wing man, and he plans to make a difference.
