Bucharest Appelate Court judges set for Wednesday, September 15 the recourse date in the case involving media mogul Sorin Ovidiu Vantu, Octavian Turcan, an intermediary and Alex Stoian, the driver.

Sorin Ovidiu Vantu was arrested for 29 days together with the other two for favoring Romanian Nicolae Popa to escape and live outside the country where he was sentenced to 15 years.

The three are accused that they sent various amounts of money to Popa helping him escaping the sentence he had in the country. The Bucharest Tribunal published on Monday the motivation of the judge that stood at the decision to temporary arrest Vantu.

The motivation reads that favoring a sentenced citizen stands proof that the three are dangerous enough and such measures justify the need for precaution.
