Radu Marian and Stefan Marin, two of the babies burnt in the Giulesti maternity ward tragedy will be released from hospital on Wednesday, after 29 days of hospitalization, daily Adevarul reads. Grigore Alexandrescu hospital director Dan Mircea Enescu declared that it regards two twins who had burns on over 60% of their body but who miraculously got better without surgeries.

The other three babies under care are also doing well, they gained weight and doctors will decide whether they will need surgeries or they will be released.

On August 16, an explosion took place at the intensive care unit of the Giulesti maternity. Four babies died on the spot and another 7 were transported to another hospital. One of them died shortly after due to profound wounds. Another baby died on September 12.
