Renault Romania will start tests for the Fluence electric car and first deliveries will be made in end 2011 or early 2012, Renault commercial director Fabrice Cambolive declared in an interview for HotNews.ro. The first clients will most probably be companies and Renault hopes that the Romanian state will offer subsidies of 4000-5000 euro for those who purchase electric cars like other countries do. The electric model will cost around 21,000 euro.

Renault announced on Thursday, in Paris, that the Fluence electric model will cost around 26,300 euro without state subsidies and with subsidies around 21-22,000 euro. The car has an autonomy of 160 km and is produced in Turkey.

It can be charged at a normal plug, at a special charging station or at a QuickDrop point where the battery is changed with a full one.
