Toxic chemical residue that flooded on Monday the whole Veszpre district in West Hungary, after the explosion produced at the alumina factory Ajkai Timfoldgyar of the MAL ZRT group reached rivers that threaten to pollute the Danube. If it will reach the main river to Eastern Europe, Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia and Ukraine are under threat, the Hungarian press informs, quoted by AFP.

Meanwhile, the effects of the accident are starting to show: 4 people died, 100 were injured and another 7 are missing. The accident occured 160 km away from Budapest, at the alumina factory Ajkai.
