The Social Democratic leader, Victor Ponta set an official address to the President urging him to return the law on pensions to the Parliament, a day after the Constitutional Court declared the law constitutional. It is your duty to show responsibility and send the law on pensions back in the Parliament so that it can be voted by respecting the law, the document reads.

You will have to assume the consequences if you refuse to send the law on pensions for a true vote in the Parliament, Ponta wrote. Opposition parties, together with the Social Democrats plan to launch suspension procedures against the President if he will promulgate the law on pensions.
