Authorities searching the area where the MIG 21 Lancer crashed on Monday found the black box of the plane, Romanian news agency Mediafax informs, quoting military sources. The black box will be analyzed by a technical committee of the Defence ministry.

Military teams searched the grounds on Monday afternoon and continued in the the night as fragments of the plane were scattered on hundreds of meters. On Tuesday morning, the black box was found. The causes are investigated by a technical committee set up by the Defence ministry.

The MIG 21 Lancer plane crashed on Monday nearby Campia Turzii, central Romania causig the death of the two pilots, Laurentiu Nicolae Chirita and Sorin Traian Avram. The two were elite pilotes, with over 1,000 flight hours.
