Romania’s Constitutional Court decided, with a majority of votes that the law on education is unconstitutional because there is a judicial conflict of constitutional nature between the Parliament and the Government because the latter took responsibility for a law already in debate in the parliament, Romanian news agency Agerpres informs.

The Court reopened on Wednesday debates over the request formulated by the Senate’s Speaker, Mircea Geoana regarding the constitutional conflict between the parliament and the government. The conflict was launched once the government stopped the legislative procedure of the draft law on education and took responsibility over the project.
