Volksbank sued the government in September, requesting to suspend the execution of an administrative act. The bank was represented by the NNDKP house of lawyers, the house of lawyers that usually represent banks in trials. The lawyers declared that they will formulate a point of view later today at the request of HotNews.ro. Their request was rejected by the Court today.
Volksbank officials could not be contacted for details. The head of banking monitoring agency, Nicolae Cinteza declared in September for HotNews.ro that banks will request the state to cover the losses incurred by Ordinance 50/2010 regarding credit contracts for consumers.
