After delays, the government will approve today the draft law on the unique salary scheme law for 2011 for the budgetary personnel and the draft law on the unitary salary scheme for personnel paid from public funds. The main rule of the 2011 unique salary scheme law sees that salaries will increase by 15%. Another important measure is that there will be no financial awards, bonuses, meal tickets or holiday tickets awarded.

Even though authorities declared repeatedly that the law will have a final form only after social partners will agree with it, none of the talks between the two parties reached a consensus. The salary increase estimated by the Labour minister for the following years is 43%.
