US Embassy to Romania and the American Cultural Center will be closed on Thursday, November 25 for Thanksgiving, the US Embassy to Bucharest informs. The Embassy will resume activity on Friday.

One of the most important holidays for the Americans, Thanksgiving was first celebrated in 1621 and was organized by the English pilgrims that founded the Plymounth colony - Massachusetts - and by members of the Indian Wampanoag tribe as a thanksgiving for the miraculous crops.
