The law on education, for which the government launched the procedures to take responsibility seems to split the opposition. While the Social Democratic leader Victor Ponta says that the party will vote for the motion, Liberal leader Crin Antonescu announces that it will withdraw signatures on the motion.

Ponta announced on Monday, in a press conference that the Social Democrat will do whatever they can to approve the draft law discussed in the Parliament. Debates on the draft law will start in the Senate today.

If the government will continue to take responsibility on the law on education, the Social Democrats will vote on the motion of censure, PSD leader Ponta said. However, the Liberals announced that they will not vote the motion against the government because it will legimitize the government's decision to continue procedures to take responsibility on the law on education, a procedure which is anti-constitutional.

Therefore, Liberals will withdraw their signatures on the motion.
