Google starts off with two employees a the local office opened in November in Romania and plans to hire another 6 next year, Romanian branch chief Dan Bulucea declared. He estimated that Google businesses will increase by 30 to 50% now that the company has a local branch in Romania.
Bulucea estimated that in Romania there are over 100,000 Android smartphones users and says that next year Romanians will be able to purchase applications from the online Android shop. The first Google conference lasted two others and mainly consisted in objective presentations which reveal that Google considers that it will have a major impact on the online market in Romania.
Dan Bulucea and Norbert Simionescu are the first employees of Google in Romania and a third person will join shortly. However, the number of employees will not increase massively. Bulucea said that the main objectives for 2011 are to increase the use of Google products, that he plans to increase localized Google services and plans to make Romania more visible within Google.
