In a press conference held on today, Tuesday December 14, 2010 President Basescu declared, referring to Wikileaks and the recent cablegate scandal that the state's secrets cannot be made available to the public.
He said that on the one hand, this can be part of the liberty of expression principle, but on the other hand, the secrets of a state cannot be made public. The President underlined that in his opinion, even by respecting the liberty of expression principle, Wikileaks harmed the world.
After a short pause, the President underlined that the world was indeed harmed.
