Almost a third of the Romanians, about 31% would emigrate for good if they would have the possibility, a Gallup survey released on Tuesday, quoted by Romanian news agency Mediafax reads. Romanians are second after the British at 33%.

The great number of Brits thinking of emigrate cannot be attributed to the global crisis since the survey revealed the same options before the crisis, in 2008. Even so, only 2% of the Brits who claimed they would emigrate sustain that they plan to do this in the next 12 months.

The percentage of Romanians that plan to emigrate in the next 12 months is at 11% which places Romania on the eighth position.
